How to link blog spot with domain name

Once you have the both mentioned below you can follow the below steps:

Step 1: Enabling Redirect in blogger:
·       Go to blogger and choose your blog Settings -> Basic -> Publishing -> Setup a third-party URL for your blog.
Add your domain name and save it :

·       Once you click Save you can see the below error , don’t close the window


Step 2: Update CNAME in DNS Provider eg: Godaddy
·       Login to your Go daddy account -> Select your domain -> DNS Manager :

·       Check if there is any existing CNAME (Type) with www (Name) entry if so then edit the value, else add a new entry with the data you have noted in blog spot and save it.

Similarly create one more entry with Type as CNAME by clicking ADD and fill the details with the details you got from blogger and save this.

Step 3: Adding non www to www redirection:
Some people just type vaneeswaran.com instead of www.vaneeswaran.com . the below step will help us to redirect when someone use non www domain name (vaneeswaran.com) it will redirect to www domain name ( www.vaneeswaran.com ) 

After once you done above if you visit  www.vaneeswaran.com , the site you are seeing is a blog but the address bar will be www.vaneeswaran.com.
